Consultant
B.S. in Park, Recreation and Leisure Studies - Western Oregon University

Cara hails from Colorado but grew up in the great Pacific Northwest. She brings over 15 years of experience working with adaptive outdoor programs throughout Washington, Utah, Colorado and Oregon. Cara was born Deaf and strongly believes identity is becoming more and more fluid and complex within contemporary society, especially among those who are deaf and hard of hearing. After two decades and a half of complex navigation with the battle between fitting into the hearing world and simply belonging, Cara has found her bicultural identity.

When she is not working in land conservation, you’ll find her advancing community ties for members of the Deaf community or routing the next plan of action as the Team Director for the US Deaf Ski and Snowboard team for international races including the Winter Deaflympics that happens every four years.
